Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on January. 19. 1946 to a poor family with 12 kids at one point, realized that she could get away from suffering through her vivid imagination. Before she was able to write and read, she began to compose her own music. Her first guitar purchase came when she was 8 and started singing at an Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of eleven. In the following year, she made her first album with Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. While she was an established local celebrity while at high school, her ambitions were much bigger. After graduating high school in 1964, she moved straight to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) as well as Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. The syndicated television show of Porter Wagoner required a new singer at around the time. Parton took the job in the year 1966. She she joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. She left Wagoner's show, however, in 1974 due to her solo albums like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene outsold their collaborations. After their split, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it debuted at Number. Its first appearance at No. 1 was 1974.
