Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She's co-founder and CEO of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, television personality, philanthropist as well as the owner and publisher of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was Greece she relocated to England at the age of sixteen and then completed her studies at Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. The first graduate who was not from the UK to serve as the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. She became a conservative syndicated writer after the graduation ceremony and, when The Huffington Post launched a couple of years later, she developed an online platform to voice opinions which offered critiques of politics. Her fame has led to the attraction of many prominent contributors to share their opinions on the news political, culture and politics. Arianna became famous after she made the decision in 2003 to become an Independent candidate in the California Recall Election in order to succeed the former governor Davis. Alongside this, she led the Detroit Project for fuel-efficient cars. She was named The Most Influential Women in Media in 2009 by Forbes in 2009, and was awarded the 12th place in the list. That same year Guardian named her on the top 100 media list. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her as head of its media division, which also included other AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, and Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are journalist and management consultants. Although she had a close connection to her mother and father, it was their bond that helped shape her. In her earliest years she displayed leadership qualities that are still highly regarded. She moved to England at 16 to continue her education and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. In her time at college, she was a member of the college debate Society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign and third female president. In 1972, she earned the degree of master's in Economics. After graduation, she began working as a critic for a newspaper column and a television host. In addition, she appeared with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using his editorial assistance.
