Paula Patton, an American actor and producer, is recognized for her performances as the lead character in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (an action-spy thriller) and Precious (a drama). Born into a middle-class family living in Los Angeles, she harboured many dreams in her early years. Her parents were a loving mother who loved to watch movies. Paula was active in her school's co-curricular activities and was particularly drawn to dramatics. She played with her classmates as well as participated in school productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actor decided that acting was her chosen career. She attended in the University of Southern California for a Summer Program and loved the experience. She won a three-month assignment producing documentaries on behalf of PBS. Her career began as a production assistant for TV when she completed this assignment. Then she began producing documentaries. Although she was awed by the work, she yearned to be an actress. She started her acting career with a small character in the film romantic comedy Hitch with Will Smith. She has appeared since in many films and TV shows.
