Reese Witherspoon feetLaura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon was born on the 22nd of March in 1976. She was the recipient of many awards, including an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. Time magazine and Forbes both included her in the top 100 most influential people on the world in both 2005 and in 2006, respectively. Forbes named her the world ?Ts highest-earning actress in 2021. Witherspoon has an estimated fortune of $400 million. Witherspoon made her screen debut in The Man in the Moon (1991). In 1999, she appeared as acting as a supporting actor in Cruel Intentions and played the role of Tracy Flick in Election. Her role in Legally Blonde (2001 and its sequel 2003) and Sweet Home Alabama (2002 ) led to her being recognized more widely. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as June Carter Cash in the musical biopic Walk the Line. Following a dip in her career, where her sole box-office film success was the romantic drama Water for Elephants (2011), Witherspoon made a comeback by directing and producing Cheryl Strayed in the drama Wild (2014), which earned her a second nomination for Best Actress at the Academy Awards. Witherspoon has continued to work primarily in television and has been a part of and produced many adaptations of literary written by women under the name Hello Sunshine. This includes Big Little Lies, an HBO drama series (2017-2019), The Morning Show which is an Apple TV+ drama series (2019-present) and Little Fires Everywhere (2020). The Primetime Emmy Award was won for Outstanding Limited Series in the initial episode of these shows. She has also produced the adaptations to film Gone Girl (2014) and Where the Crawdads Sing (2022).Witherspoon also owns a clothing line, Draper James, and she is active in children's and women's advocacy organizations. She sits on the board of directors for the Children's Defense Fund (CDF) and was named Global Ambassador of Avon Products in 2007, being the honorary chair of the charitable Avon Foundation dedicated to women's causes.
