
Lowell started her acting career with Dangerously Close, followed by one small role in Club Paradise, starring as Robin Williams. She then went on to play roles, including co-starring in the role of Bond girl Pam Bouvier in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989) and, starting in 1996 she was the Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross for two seasons on the tv drama Law & Order, a character she reprised in 2005 to play a guest character on its spinoff, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, and reprised the role on the original show in 2022, when it was relaunched for a 21st-season.
